Worship Service Volunteers

God uses people of all ages, backgrounds, and histories. Volunteering for worship service opportunities are important ways for you and your family to be active in the life of the church. Serving and participating in worship on Sunday is where and how we center ourselves in Jesus Christ. You, and your time and talent are needed in our faith family.

ALL ARE WELCOME TO SHARE THEIR GIFTS!

If you’re interested in serving in any of these roles, feel free to reach out to the church office at office@evucc.org

Lay Readers (or Lectors): These individuals read passages from the Old TestamentPsalm, and New Testament during church services. They help convey God’s Word directly to the congregation. Readers can be young people, students or adult members.

Ushers / Greeters: Ushers and greeters are the first impression of the church for visitors. They joyously serve by making everyone feel welcome and ensuring that the Holy Spirit is present. Ushers assist with seating, distribute bulletins, collect offerings and guide people during the service.

Radio Ministry: Broadcast on WGEL each Sunday at 8 am. This valuable way for homebound and those unable to attend service to stay connected.

Live Stream Service Attendant: Our Sunday service is live streamed to You Tube and Facebook which allows people who are unable to attend in person ( due to distance, illness, or to other reasons) to participate in worship services. It ensures that everyone, regardless of physical location, can be part of the church community. It also gives inclusivity for people with disabilities, elderly individuals, and parents with young children can join from the comfort to of their homes. It breaks down barriers and fosters a sense of belonging. Let’s face it, life can be busy, and attending every service in person may not always be feasible, Live streaming and the saved worship service provides a way for people to connect at a time that suits their schedule.
